Your Help is Needed!

What is the Homeless Resource Day? A “one-day, one stop” event where individuals and families experiencing homelessness can access benefits, medical care, substance abuse resources, mental health counseling, and a variety of social services which can ultimately lead to housing and self sufficiency.

 What can you do?  You can help by donating your time, goods, services, or money.

Volunteer Your Time

To Volunteer: 

  • Friday, March 26th (5pm – 8pm) Set-Up, Sorting, etc. age 15 and up can help.
  • Saturday, March 27th (8am – 4pm) Must be 18 years of age or older.

Print out the blank form, fill it out completely, and then fax or mail the form as instructed at the bottom of the form.

NOTE: The deadline for volunteer registration is close of business on Friday, March 12, 2010.

 

Only volunteers who work on Sat., March 27 are required to attend a training session, and may choose to attend one of the following:

If volunteers would like to bring donations feel free to bring them the day of training.

Donate Goods

NEW items: Socks, underwear, backpacks, personal hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.), disposable wipes, and hand sanitizers (all in trial or travel sizes).

Please drop-off donations at the following locations before Friday, March 26th or at Glen Burnie High School, 7550 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd, Glen Burnie, MD on Friday, March 26th between the hours of 3:00pm and 5:00pm at the Media Building.
